MG road...the first red light after 20 minutes of non stop drive, weather is just fine so i have my window panes lowered, suddenly a girl child joins me at the window she's from the "natt" community, the people who do somersaults and other such acts to entertain you at traffic signals
"uncle ekkkkkkupiaaaa denaa"ek rupiyaa nahi hain bete
"phir daaaasssshhhhuuupiyaaaa de do"
perhaps she doesn't know about 10 being a bigger amount than 1
kya karoge dass rupiyaa ka????
"rotee banaayenge"
and i obliged....it was already lunch time and i was hungry too eager to reach my office for a meal
the point is we all see and hear countless childhoods getting lost in traffic signals
but very few of us could actually do something for them
wish all those CRY and Save the Children some time reach this one girl child!!
